You submitted the form. Then you spotted a mistake.
Maybe the exam city is wrong. Maybe a parent's name has a typo. Maybe the document uploaded was the wrong file. This happens to a lot of families - and most of them panic thinking it cannot be fixed.
It can be. But you get a very short window to do it.
Two Different Corrections. Two Different Portals.
Most parents don't realise this. There are actually two separate points in the AISSEE ↗ process where corrections are possible.
The first is on the NTA application form - before the exam happens. The second is on the AISSAC counselling portal - after the result.
They work differently. Both matter.
The NTA Application Correction
For AISSEE 2026, NTA opened this window on November 12, 2025. It closed on November 14, 2025. Three days. That's it.
The portal was: exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society
What you could fix:
Father's name or mother's name if typed incorrectly. Preferred exam city - all four preferences could be changed, but only within the same state or union territory. Documents that were uploaded in the wrong format could also be re-uploaded during this window.
What stays locked forever:
Candidate's name. Date of birth. The mobile number used at registration. These three fields cannot be touched after initial submission - not during the correction window, not by anyone. If your child's name or date of birth was entered wrong, the only option is to write directly to NTA at [email protected] and explain the situation.
How to make changes:
Go to exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society. Find the link that says "Correction Window for AISSEE-2026 Examination" on the homepage. Log in with your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin. The fields available for editing will show up. Change only what is wrong - leave everything else alone. Upload any corrected documents if needed. Hit submit. Then immediately print the corrected confirmation page and keep it. You will need it at document verification.
The AISSAC Counselling Correction
This one is separate. It happens on the counselling portal after the AISSEE result comes out.
Portal: pesa.ncog.gov.in/sainikschoolecounselling
For AISSEE 2026, this window started on January 22, 2026 and was later extended to February 28, 2026. NTA also reopened it briefly from March 30 to April 1, 2026 for students who had missed it.
When you register on AISSAC, your details come in automatically from your AISSEE application. But if your domicile or gender was entered wrongly during the original AISSEE registration, this is where you can flag it and correct it before seat allotment begins.
One thing that cannot change here:
Category. Whatever category was filled during AISSEE registration stays locked at the AISSAC stage. No exceptions. So if general was filled instead of defence, or OBC was filled instead of SC - that error cannot be undone here. Contact NTA separately if that happened to you.
School Choices - Editing After Locking
This is not a "correction" in the traditional sense, but parents ask about it constantly. Once you fill school preferences and click "Lock the Choices" on AISSAC, you can still go back and click "Edit Choices" - but only before the choice filling deadline passes. After that window closes, school preferences are final.

Before You Close This Page
Pull up your child's AISSEE scorecard right now. Check the name, roll number, and category against the actual documents. If anything looks off, write to [email protected] today - don't wait for a correction window that may already be closed.
Log into AISSAC and scroll through the details shown after registration. If domicile or gender is displaying incorrectly, that needs to be raised before the next round begins.
And one last thing - never leave correction for the final day. Both windows are short and the NTA portal gets slow when thousands of parents try to log in at the same time.
