Lunglei is Mizoram's second-largest city - the administrative headquarters of Lunglei district and a regional hub for southern Mizoram. Schools here are better than in most of the state's rural districts. Academic aspiration is high. English-medium education is standard.

And yet AISSEE ↗ results from Lunglei are not what they should be given that academic foundation. The reason is the same one that affects every Mizoram city - no structured AISSEE-specific coaching. Both are rankable in e-counselling.

Maths carries 150 of the 300 Class 6 marks. For other-states applicants, the All India rank that determines a seat is decided primarily by Maths performance. A Lunglei student with strong Maths and twenty mock tests behind them is a competitive applicant.

What the Exam Demands

Maths, GK, Language and Intelligence. 125 questions. 300 marks. 150 minutes. OMR-based, offline.

Maths: 150 marks - 50 questions at 3 marks each. Half the paper. GK, Language and Intelligence: 50 marks each.

Content is CBSE ↗ Class 5 curriculum. Lunglei students know it. The challenge is the format - OMR sheets under 150 minutes, four subjects in one sitting.
