Sainik School Punglwa is in Peren district.

Not in the adjacent district. Not two hours away. The school is here, in Peren. 67% of seats are reserved for Nagaland children. Peren families compete within Nagaland only.

Intangki National Park - Nagaland's only national park (202 sq km) - is also in Peren. The district borders Assam. Zeliang Naga tribe. Created as a district in 2004 from Kohima district. Population approximately 95,000.

What AISSEE Tests - And Why the School Being Here Still Requires April Preparation

The Intelligence section doesn't know that Sainik School Punglwa is in this district. It tests pattern recognition, number series, analogies, and spatial reasoning - skills absent from every school curriculum.

A Peren child and a Mon child face identical Intelligence starting points: 20-25% untrained. The difference comes from training.

After 16 weeks from April: 70-80%.

Pattern recognition - why each phase cannot be skipped

Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4): Single-rule sequences. Scanning habit forms. The child's brain begins asking "What property changes between frames?" rather than waiting for a teacher to state it.

Stop here. This mental habit - actively searching for the rule rather than waiting for it - is what shifts pattern recognition from 20-25% to 38-45%. It cannot be taught as a concept. It forms through repeated practice encounters over 3-4 weeks.

Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8): Compound patterns. Two rules simultaneously. Phase 2 requires Phase 1's scanning habit to be automatic - otherwise the child can't hold the first rule in memory while searching for the second.

Phase 3 (Weeks 9-12): AISSEE ↗ speed. The checklist must run in 10-15 seconds.

Phase 4 (Weeks 13-16): Full mocks. Section-by-section diagnosis. Targeted reinforcement.

October start: Phase 1 complete by November. Phase 2 still forming by January. The child arrives at the exam with the most important skill - compound detection - only half-built.

Number series - the 15-type coverage requirement

Each of 15+ AISSEE series types needs 15-20 exposures before sight-recognition forms. Weekly practice from April covers all 15+ types 20 times each before January. October covers 8-10 types adequately.

The types covered last - Fibonacci, factorial, prime-based - are precisely the ones that cannot be solved by calculation. An unprepared child facing a prime series (2, 3, 5, 7, 11) in January cannot calculate the rule. Recognition is the only approach. And recognition requires prior exposure from April.

Analogies and spatial reasoning

Verbal: Zeliang Naga + Nagamese + English. 65-72% verbal accuracy without training. Numerical and logical: 6 weeks each.

Spatial: Peren's hilly terrain bordering Assam. First-mock: 28-36%. April training: 66-74%. October: 50-60%.

GK - Sainik School Punglwa, Intangki, Zeliang Tribe

Intangki National Park (202 sq km, Nagaland's only national park): India's national parks by state - testable AISSEE wildlife GK. "Which is Nagaland's only national park?" is a standard question.

Zeliang tribe: Nagaland's tribes and their territories - testable.

Peren as a 2004 district: Nagaland's administrative history - testable.

Sainik School Punglwa: one of India's new Sainik Schools, Nagaland state quota - relevant institutional GK.
