What This Exam Demands That School Does Not Teach

Four subjects - Maths, GK, Language and Intelligence - in 150 minutes, on an OMR sheet. 125 questions. 300 total marks. Maths alone is 150 marks - 50 questions at 3 marks each. Half the paper.

That last fact is the one most families do not think about until it is too late. A child who is weak in Maths cannot compensate by doing well in the other three subjects. There simply are not enough marks there. And a child who is strong in Maths but has never practiced OMR filling under a running clock will still lose marks from format errors.

The minimum qualifying marks are 25% per subject and 40% in aggregate - just the filter to enter the medical shortlist. The real Kerala home-state cut-off at Kazhakootam is higher. Significantly higher in competitive years.

Eligibility
