Old Sainik Schools offer a more standardised, proven, and typically stronger NDA preparation environment - particularly through the full residential system and established daily PT culture.
New Sainik Schools offer access to the Sainik pattern for candidates whose scores don't reach Old Sainik School competitive cut offs, with fees and boarding that vary by school. Some NSS schools are excellent. Some are barely Sainik in anything but name. The difference lives in the details - which you can only find by asking the right questions directly.
