The school has 120 Class 6 seats. 80 go to Karnataka domicile students. A child from Ballari, Hospet, Sandur, Siruguppa or Kudligi holds a Karnataka domicile. They compete within the Karnataka pool - not the national open category.

That pool still includes students from Bengaluru, Hubli, Mysuru and every other part of a large, academically competitive state. Being in the Karnataka pool is an advantage over national open competition. But it is not a guaranteed path.
