Pattern recognition - what each phase is for and why it takes its allocated time

Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4) builds the scanning reflex. Checking orientation, count, shading, form - not as a conscious procedure but as an automatic eye movement when looking at a sequence. This automation takes 3-4 weeks of daily repetition. 38-46%.

Number series - cotton belt arithmetic and the AISSEE time trap

Faridkot's agricultural cotton economy produces children with commercial arithmetic instincts. Mandi prices, weighing calculations, seasonal estimates. AISSEE number series exploits this.

15+ types. The simple ones (geometric, basic AP) can be calculated within 45 seconds. The complex ones (second-order AP, Fibonacci, factorial, prime-based) cannot. A child who hasn't been trained to recognise complex types will calculate - and run out of time.
