Sainik School Coaching in Nabha (Punjab)

The British deposed Maharaja Ripudaman Singh of Nabha in 1928.

He had been too vocal. Too sympathetic to the independence movement. Too unwilling to simply comply. The British removed him and placed a regent in his place. The incident caused national outrage - Mahatma Gandhi and others protested. Nabha's deposition became a cause in the national freedom movement.

Nabha State was one of the three Phulkian princely states of Punjab - alongside Patiala and Jind. Founded 1763 by Hamir Singh. The Hira Mahal palace. 13-gun salute at its peak. Now part of Patiala district. City population approximately 95,000.

Punjab has Sainik School Kapurthala - 67% Punjab state quota. Nabha families compete within Punjab only.

AISSEE - Intelligence Training, What Each Week Builds

Pattern recognition, number series, analogies, spatial reasoning. Not in any school curriculum. Untrained: 20-25%. After 16 weeks from April: 70-80%.

Pattern recognition - why the week-by-week sequence matters

The training is sequential because each phase produces cognitive changes that the next phase requires.

Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4) changes how the child looks at sequences. Before Phase 1: the child reads the sequence like text, left to right, looking for an obvious relationship. After Phase 1: the child scans all positions simultaneously, checking specific properties (orientation, count, shading, form) in order. This is a different perceptual mode. It takes 3-4 weeks to form as a habit. Accuracy: 38-46%.

Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8) adds the double-scan habit. After finding Rule 1, the trained child automatically checks: "Is there still unexplained variation?" Before this habit forms, the child stops at Rule 1 and gives an answer. This is why compound patterns - which require detecting both rules - catch untrained children almost 100% of the time. Accuracy: 55-65%.

Phase 3 (Weeks 9-12) compresses both perceptual habits into AISSEE ↗ speed. Accuracy: 65-72%.

Phase 4 (Weeks 13-16) refines through mocks and targeted diagnosis. Final accuracy: 70-80%.

October start: Phase 1 just completing, Phase 2 beginning. By January: 52-58%. The double-scan habit barely started.

Number series - Nabha's service-economy arithmetic and the recognition gap

Nabha's Patiala-district service economy produces educated families with mathematical confidence. The AISSEE number series section tests recognition speed, not mathematical confidence.

Consider the prime number series: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17...

No formula exists for primes. Calculation cannot identify the next prime in under 45 seconds reliably. Recognition - "these are prime numbers" - answers instantly.

April practice: seeing prime series 20+ times over four months. The recognition forms. Without April practice, this type appears in January as an unsolvable question.

Analogies and spatial reasoning

Verbal: Punjabi dominant. Historical district - Phulkian state heritage creates cultural vocabulary depth. 66-72% verbal accuracy without training. Numerical and logical: 6 weeks each.

Spatial: Nabha's Malwa plains. First-mock: 17-23%. April training: 61-69%. October: 43-52%.
