The Taj Mahal is built from marble quarried in Nagaur district.
Makrana town. Makrana marble. The same stone: Victoria Memorial in Kolkata, the Dilwara Jain temples at Mount Abu, the Ranakpur temple. All of them were built using marble from one place - Makrana, Nagaur district.
"Makrana" has become so synonymous with marble quality that the word itself identifies the stone. That is what 700 years of quarrying and export does to a place name.
The ancient name of this district was Ahichhatrapur. The Mahabharata records that Arjuna conquered this kingdom and offered it to his Guru Dronacharya. Whether this specific identification is historically precise, historians debate. What isn't debated: Nagaur has Mahabharata-era mentions, was ruled by the Nagas (after whom it is named), then by the Chauhans, then the Mughals, then the Rathores of Jodhpur.
Population 3,307,743 - 4th most populous in Rajasthan. Literacy 64.08%.
Rajasthan has Sainik School Chittorgarh - 67% Rajasthan state quota. Nagaur families compete within Rajasthan only.
Nagaur's marble, cattle fair, and agricultural commercial economy creates strong arithmetic foundations. The Intelligence section requires something entirely separate.
Pattern recognition, number series, analogies, spatial reasoning. Untrained: 20-25%. After 16 weeks from April: 70-80%.
Pattern recognition - four phases, all four required
Phase 1 (Weeks 1-4): Scanning reflex. 38-46%.
Phase 2 (Weeks 5-8): Compound detection. Requires Phase 1 automaticity. 55-65%.
Phase 3 (Weeks 9-12): Speed. 65-72%.
Phase 4 (Weeks 13-16): Full mocks, diagnosis. 70-80%.
October: Phase 2 half-formed. 55-60%.
Number series - the marble-trade commercial confidence trap
Commercial marble trading, cattle fairs, cumin markets - strong commercial arithmetic. The AISSEE ↗ trap: complex series types (Fibonacci, factorial, prime-based) cannot be calculated within 45 seconds. Recognition built from April practice is the only solution.
Analogies and spatial reasoning
Verbal: Rajasthani-Marwari bilingual (81% Rajasthani, 15% Marwari). Strong oral and narrative tradition. 64-71% verbal accuracy without training. Numerical and logical: 6 weeks each.
Spatial: Aravalli hills to the southeast, Thar desert plains to the northwest. Mixed terrain in a large district. First-mock: 21-28%. April training: 63-71%. October: 45-54%.
Makrana marble (Nagaur district): used in Taj Mahal, Victoria Memorial, Dilwara temples - specifically testable AISSEE GK. "Taj Mahal is built from which type of marble?" - Makrana.
Ahichhatrapur (ancient Nagaur, Mahabharata-era): ancient India geography - testable.
Nagaur Cattle Fair: India's third-largest cattle fair - testable.
Veer Tejaji's birthplace (Kharnal, Nagaur): Rajasthan's folk heroes - testable.
Eight students. One specialist per section. Weekly mocks. Section-wise diagnosis. October conversation. OMR from day one.
